NFL great Tom Brady has become the target for WWE stars after he labeled their sport as being 'cute' while dismissing their athleticism.

- Tom Brady referred to wrestling as "cute" during a podcast with Logan Paul, sparking reactions from WWE stars.
- Randy Orton expressed a desire to RKO Tom Brady in response to his comments about pro wrestling.
- Fans are puzzled by Orton's aggressive reaction, questioning why he would want to harm the former NFL quarterback.
It seems Tom Brady has struck a nerve with the folks over at WWE, with Logan Paul being the first to respond, and now others are finding unique ways to respond to the NFL’s GOAT.
His ‘wrestling is cute’ comment while speaking with Paul on his Impaulsive podcast at the Fanatics Fest set off this reaction. First, Paul tried to state his past accomplishments, only to be shut down by the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
He made it clear that WWE superstars do not have the athletic abilities of modern NFL players, and that Paul would not be able to keep up with the likes of Saquon Barkley at the Fanatics Flag Football tournament coming up in Saudi Arabia next month.
It seems the WWE media has picked up on it and even asked Liv Morgan for a comment, to which she ended up defending the physical abilities of her peers while also labeling football as being ‘cute.’ But Randy Orton was not so subtle.
I did see a recent podcast Logan Paul put on. He had Tom Brady on, and Tom Brady had a few things to say about pro wrestling. I think he called it ‘cute’? So, I’ve never met him, but I’d love to meet Tom and hit him with an RKO.

It seems the 45-year-old did not want to waste too many words on what he felt about Tom Brady’s comments. All he wants to do is end the debate with his famous ‘RKO.’
Fans react to Randy Orton’s interest in RKOing Tom Brady
The entire WWE-NFL debate did not develop much in the latter stage as it has in the wrestling circuit. Those in the latter have been seemingly irked by Tom Brady calling their body of work ‘cute,’ which basically was his way of saying it wasn’t a real sport.
But unlike Logan Paul, who proceeded to show off his athleticism, and Liv Morgan, who chose to use her words to convey her reaction, fans could not understand why someone would want to intentionally hurt the former quarterback.
They took to social media to wonder how much Randy Orton‘s pride was hurt for him to want to RKO the Patriots legend. Check out examples of those reactions below.
Why are wrestlers so fragile about what people say about their craft?

Why are we pretending wrestling is real?? Sure, these guys get hurt doing what they do, but it's completely fake and scripted.

WWE is fake so even if you did “hit him with an RKO” it would still just be cute.

They get so upset about calling their sport what it is choreographed fight, because we see it's a different story when they try to fight when it's not choreographed. Stick to acting like you're a good fighter

But it is cute. It’s what little boys watch till they discover it’s all just fake arranged slop

I would love to see Randy Orton take a shot from Aaron Donald.

So wrestling isn’t scripted? Was he wrong?
— James (@plowry02) February 24, 2026
Awwwww. He get his feelings hurt? Wrestling is fake. Why do you cover it?

In the past, Randy Orton has been observed to have some strong feelings about athletes in other sports. But wanting to use his power move to end the debate was something fans did not expect.
Tom Brady has not been reverting to any WWE star since trolling them
Usually, when someone lays the gauntlet down to Tom Brady, they generally get a response of some sort. Ask the Manning brothers, or even the usual critics who do not like some things he did this past season.

However, in this instance involving the WWE, the father of three has been quiet. The last time he responded, it was a direct shot at Logan Paul, reminding him that flag football is not ‘flag gymnastics.’ It was his way of shutting down the narrative for good, as he was clear he did not feel as if the WWE was a real sport, and that its athletes were anywhere close to those in the NFL.
All the conversations since have come from those on the other side of the ropes. It seems the 15-time Pro Bowler has struck a nerve, and will wait for the Flag Football tournament to put this debate to rest.
