It’s been almost 100 days since Randy Orton was last seen on WWE TV. He was written off after a demented Kevin Owens nailed The Viper with an outlawed maneuver—the Package Piledriver. After that, Orton was hospitalized, and WWE announced several injuries to the 44-year-old. His prolonged absence is baffling to fans, and there were rumors of him actually missing WrestleMania 41.

However, in a positive update via WRKD Wrestling, The Apex Predator is lined up to take on Kevin Owens at The Show of Shows in Las Vegas. They tried settling their differences at last year’s Crown Jewel PLE. However, before the match could even begin, Owens decked Randy Orton from behind.

What was supposed to be a sanctioned bout transmogrified into a mugging. The general managers of both Raw and SmackDown were out to break things up. However, Adam Pearce ended up getting hit by an RKO. He must still be ruing that day. Nonetheless, it was just an appetizer.

Kevin and Randy kept swinging at each other within the WWE Universe in Riyadh. But a point came when the Canuck executed an avalanche elbow drop on the 14-time World Champion. And that was it. In essence, despite exuding brutality, both men never let the bell ring, leading to a no contest. It now seems like they’ll be circling back to finish what they started.

Once tag team partners, Owens and Orton grew apart as KO alleged that Randy prioritized Cody Rhodes over him. The French-Canadian would rant about Rhodes, which ticked Orton off. And eventually, they came to blows. WrestleMania is the only place where The Prizefighter and The Legend Killer could put an end to their beef once and for all.

The Prizefighter is currently dealing with the aftermath of his loss to Cody Rhodes at the Royal Rumble. On top of that, the Quebec-born wrestler is upset at the fact that his best friend Sami Zayn didn’t help him out against Rhodes. Kevin Owens affirmed that Zayn is a disgusting human being.

This week on SmackDown, WWE aired Sami’s response to Kevin. The former Honorary Uce explained how he was ringside the entire time with Owens when the latter was in the trenches. Zayn stressed that he was so concerned about Kevin’s health that he might’ve even cried while screaming at the doctors.

The former IC Champion then admitted that maybe he and Owens don’t operate with a similar mindset. As a result, Sami declared that he’d be coming after Kevin once he’s cleared. Later on, the former Universal Champion issued a challenge to Zayn for a match at the Elimination Chamber.
