Barcelona were within reach of the Champions League semi-final last season until an unexpected red card sent their hopes of glory down the drain. If we keep working hard, we’ll be closer to our goal (of winning the UCL). If we don’t win it this year, we’ll go again next time. The key is to never give up.

Following Raphinha’s statement, manager Hansi Flick also stated that he is willing to ignore past ties when his new club comes up against Bayern on Wednesday. After all, the UCL-winning coach had a tremendous time with the Bavarian giants.

Flick left Bayern in 2021 before moving on to coach the German National team for two years. Bayern is currently managed by Vincent Kompany, who aims to return the club back to its winning days. With 41 (Barca) and 34 (Bayern) goal contributions, respectively, the two best-attacking trios in Europe will face each other, and fireworks are guaranteed.
