Barcelona came up against Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park in an electric clash on Wednesday. The Spaniards were up for the task against Dortmund and a hostile home crowd as goals from Raphinha and Ferran Torres sealed a 3-2 win.

An unexpected brace from Torres means that Barcelona is now just three points away from claiming the top spot. A nervy first half that saw no goals scored set the stage for an eventful second.

Raphinha opened the scoring following a confident finish past Gregor Kobel, even though he had Lamine Yamal wide open to his right. The hosts were gifted a way back into the game through a penalty given away by Pau Cubarsi.

Serhou Guirassy‘s perfect penalty into the bottom left corner gave Inaki Pena no chance. Ferran Torres then converted a rebound from close range before Guirassy equalized once again after a horrendous error by Pena and his defenders.

Torres’ winner sent the away fans into pandemonium as Yamal was handed the Player Of The Match award. Yamal’s assist to Torres now means that the former has 11 assists this season!

Fans react to Raphinha’s stunning performance against Dortmund

Raphinha has been one of Barcelona‘s best players this season in terms of goals, assists, and overall contribution. The Brazilian winger once again proved his worth against Dortmund as he opened the scoring in the 52nd minute.

A fan commented that Raphinha’s 6 goals and 2 assists in 6 UCL games make him much better than Vinicius Jr. Another claimed that he deserves to be called Mr. Champions League for his contributions for Barcelona.
