When Michael Jordan dominated the NBA, his opponents would generally avoid trying to taunt him. The results of any such attempts would usually come back to bite them in the worst possible way.

Many have proclaimed that His Airness instilled fear in his opponents even before he set foot on the floor. That helped him to use his skills to dominate throughout his career. It is also used as one of the primary reasons some call him the GOAT.

When it comes to the GOAT debate, his supporters point out that LeBron James does not instill anywhere nearly the same level of fear. That difference, fans believe, is what made Jordan, and then later Kobe Bryant, as some of the best players in history.

Jordan would start trash-talking those players who were not moved by his tendencies to instill fear. The idea was to bait them into saying something that would strike his ego. Once that happens, the North Carolina alum would use his ego to get the better of his opponent.

All those tendencies have some believing the Chicago Bulls superstar to be ‘God-like’. He is held in that regard, which is why James’ fans generally have a hard time arguing with those who witnessed Jordan dominate.

A brief clip surfaced recently on Instagram where Michael Jordan was speaking with a reporter. His Bulls teammates were passing by behind him when one, Ron Harper, playfully smacked the superstar on the back of his head.

Jordan turned around to see who it was, but did not say anything. This clip is supposedly from His Airness’ last season with the Chicago Bulls, and it soon went viral.

Fans troll Michael Jordan after getting smacked on the head

Basketball fans seeing this clip were left stunned watching Michael Jordan getting smacked on the head. They believe no one should dare smack the most feared player in the league.

Some fans pointed out that even LeBron James’ teammates would not have the audacity to do such a thing. Either Ron Harper did not consider his teammate to be a big enough superstar, or they have a friendship that transcends the game.

Fans believe His Airness’ teammates did not have a fear for him the way many have claimed they did. This is the opposite of what some media members say. Check out examples of those reactions below.

If indeed Michael Jordan was that feared or respected, no one, and especially his teammates, would dare do such a thing. Yes, there are many who hold the 6-time champion in high regard. But to see his head getting smacked from behind is not the visual that reeks of a ‘feared’ superstar.

Michael Jordan’s Last Dance did not feature such clips

Some fans pointed out that this clip did not feature in Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance documentary. That documentary was hailed as the reason His Airness could reaffirm his status as the GOAT of basketball.

Before that documentary came out, many were starting to consider LeBron James as the GOAT. But after it showcased how the Bulls legend overcame all adversities to become a 6-time champion, fans did not have a choice.

Some of his former teammates and opponents mentioned that the documentary was designed to showcase Jordan as the GOAT. That is why such clips, which would not have helped matters, were omitted.
