2024 has been the best year for Marlon Humphrey regarding interceptions. He snagged one more and converted it into a pick-six while rubbing the moment in the Pittsburgh Steelers face.
The Steelers trailed by seven points in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Russell Wilson snapped the ball on second and seven and aimed the pass at tight end MyCole Pruitt. However, Humphrey read the pass and picked off the pass like Broncos Nik Bonitto in week 15.
Humphrey carried the ball into the Steelers end zone, but before crossing the white line, he briefly held the ball out at Steelers Calvin Austin II, who tracked him all the way. There was still a fair bit of a gap between the two players, so it was safe for Ravens defensive back to have a little fun.

On the other hand, the eighth-year veteran better be ready for a fine. He, above others, has to be aware that the NFL is ruthless when it comes to shutting down banter or, in this case, taunting the other team. If the Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts can receive a fine for wearing two different colored cleats, then Humphrey better watch out.
Marlon Humphrey and the Baltimore Ravens will play another year of postseason football
Humphrey’s interception was crucial for the Ravens. Minutes before, quarterback Lamar Jackson threw a pass straight to the Steelers All-Pro DB Minkah Fitzpatrick for only his fourth pick of the season. If Wilson had managed to find Pruitt in the following drive, then the Steelers would have caught up to their AFC North rivals. The pick-six more or less was the decisive blow on the night, which finished 17-34.

It wasn’t a full swoop from the Ravens, but the win propelled them into the playoffs for the third straight season. Both the Steelers and Ravens share the same 10-5 record, but John Harbaugh’s side has a far better points differential. Compared to the Steelers’ 54, the Ravens have 103 and are on a two-game winning streak, which is why they qualified for the playoffs even though the Steelers lead the division.
