Kyle Van Noy has been part of the Baltimore Ravens long enough to understand the rivalry between them and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In short, these two teams, especially their fans, don’t see eye to eye.
The animosity is nothing new, but it definitely witnessed a slight push after Pittsburgh knocked Baltimore out of playoff contention on the final day of the regular season. That being said, the Steelers didn’t make it that far in the playoffs themselves. Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf stumbled right out of the gate, while Pittsburgh was crushed by Houston’s top-three defense in the wild-card round.
Now that the season is over, attention is shifting to player contracts and the upcoming NFL draft in April. Among the players who are seeking an extension is Van Noy. If the 34-year-old doesn’t sniff a green signal from the Ravens’ new regime, then he will probably try to get one last paycheck as a free agent.
Similar to Baltimore, the Steelers also went through a massive overhaul in the last couple of weeks. So, it won’t surprise anyone if they ring Van Noy and offer him a good deal to switch allegiance. Unsurprisingly, the possibility has riled an ardent Ravens fan.
An X account called “Jordan” mentioned a few people who, despite having the opportunity, passed on the chance to play in Pittsburgh.
Tony Jefferson was asked if he would play for the Steelers he simply said absolutely not I played for the Ravens… see this is how it should be always! Guys like PQ, Malik Harrison , clowns like them never bring them back.

He didn’t specifically mention Van Noy’s name, but the Pro Bowl linebacker reacted nonetheless.

Van Noy initially joined the Ravens’ practice squad in 2023. He was promoted to active duty and notched a then career-high 9 sacks during the regular season. The Ravens signed him to a two-year, $10 million extension, and in his very first year, Van Noy racked up 12.5 sacks (career-best) and his only Pro Bowl nod.
2025 was very disappointing. He battled injuries that affected his performance on the field. Eventually, his year ended with 20 combined tackles and 2.0 sacks from 15 appearances.
Kyle Van Noy tries his best to reason with the Ravens fan
Van Noy did his best to reason with the fan, one of the toughest challenges an athlete can face. The fan, on the other hand, kept urging him to turn down any offer from the Steelers that came his way.

However, Van Noy patiently explained that he can’t turn down a big payday because that’s his bread and butter.
You ain’t keepin it 100 cuz you have never been asked to do something you love for millions of dollars! He didn’t get offered by the ravens and Steelers offered him millions to play. You are gunna say NO?!?! GTFOH.

Van Noy was drafted in the second round by the Detroit Lions in 2014. Detroit traded the former Cougar to the Patriots three years later, where he won two rings. In 2020, he signed a four-year, $51 million deal with the Patriots’ rivals, the Miami Dolphins, before returning to Boston for a one-year layover.
The Chargers added him to the roster ahead of the 2022 season. This was the only time he played all 17 games since entering the NFL. Despite racking up 46 combined tackles, 5.0 sacks, and 3 pass deflections, LA released Van Noy, and he ended up in Baltimore. In over 170 appearances across 13 seasons, Van Noy has racked up 561 combined tackles, 57.0 sacks, 39 pass deflections, and 1 interception.
