Lamar Jackson once again proved that as long as he’s healthy, the Baltimore Ravens will always be contenders for the Super Bowl. In his first game since week three, Jackson completed 18 passes from 23 attempts (78.3%) for 204 passing yards and 4 passing touchdowns to three different receivers.
Jackson also achieved a 143.2 passer rating and a perfect 152.99 QBR. Truly remarkable numbers, but there was never any doubt that he could zing a football.
The Ravens needed a spark, which they got from Jackson. Of course, Tyler Huntley dragged the Ravens to win over the Chicago Bears last week; however, Huntley is no Jackson, and that’s the main reason the Ravens are back in the conversation for the Super Bowl.
Baltimore jumped to second in the AFC North with the win. 3-5 after eight games, the Ravens are just below the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are 4-3 after two straight defeats.
Jackson’s performance helped him bag the Amazon Prime Player of the Game award. He joined the Amazon crew at the pitchside booth.
Amidst the chants of MVP, Jackson requested the fans to keep supporting the Ravens the same way they have even during the dry spell a few weeks ago.
Man, just keep coming out and support us. It’s a long season ahead of us. We just keep winning, appreciate you all.

Every time Jackson steps onto the field, he delivers MVP-caliber performances. According to OptaStats, the All-Pro quarterback has a 136.7 passer rating in his five games this season, which is the highest mark by any QB over his first five games of a season in NFL history (min. 100 attempts).

Lamar Jackson made a case for himself for another MVP title
Last year, he missed out on being the NFL’s best player by a whisker to Josh Allen. Although the Buffalo Bills quarterback is among the favorites to retain his accolade, Jackson’s numbers scream that he is in the race as well.

As a matter of fact, Jackson overtook Allen with the four touchdowns on Thursday night. Jackson has thrown 14 passing touchdowns in two fewer games, while Allen has 12 in 7 games.

The win increased Lamar’s chances of securing his third league MVP. According to Pro Football Focus, the 28-year-old had +10000 odds before the Dolphins fixture, which improved to +5000 right after the final whistle in Miami.

Jackson has completed 86 passes from 118 attempts (72.9%) for 1073 yards, 14 touchdowns, and only 1 interception. The Ravens go into a mini bye week and don’t play until November 9.
They have a fairly tough schedule ahead of them. After playing the Minnesota Vikings, the Ravens face the Bengals, the Steelers twice, the Patriots, and the Packers to close out the year. If Jackson keeps delivering the way he has in the past, then it wouldn’t be a far-fetched thought to picture them in the playoffs.
