In a playful yet pointed jab at the Buffalo Bills following the disappointing loss at the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey took to his social media to troll his divisional round opponents. He couldn’t resist poking fun at their playoff exit, much like they did on the Ravens’ elimination.

The Bills faced off against the Ravens in the Divisional round and clearly relished their roles as favorites. Rather than celebrating the victory as underdogs, the Bills’ players took the opportunity to taunt their opponents for having more Pro Bowl selections and still getting eliminated in the playoffs.

But after Buffalo sustained the same fate as Baltimore in the AFC Championship game against Kansas City, Humphrey seized the moment to poke fun on social media, suggesting that after the Pro Bowl, perhaps everyone can enjoy a vacation in Cancun – given that the Bills are also not aiming for the Super Bowl anymore like their divisional round opponents.

“after the pro bowl maybe we can all go enjoy Cancun,” wrote Humphrey as a caption, sharing a post of the anonymous Bills player trolling Ravens’ playoff selections.

The irony of Humphrey’s comments is not lost on fans, as it highlights the ongoing rivalry between the two teams. It’s the reason why despite having faced a similar fate against the Chiefs in previous seasons, the cornerback took this opportunity to revel in Buffalo’s misfortune, as their long-running Super Bowl drought continues.

Marlon Humphrey loses 82% of playoff paycheck due to NFL imposed fine

Although this remark by Humphrey was a direct response to the Bills’ player’s previous disrespectful comment, the All-Pro cornerback might be frustrated for another reason. In the divisional round game against the Bills, he made a helmet-to-helmet hit on quarterback Josh Allen

Interestingly, there was no flag thrown on that hit even though it was found questionable by many watching the game. However, the NFL has imposed a fine penalty on Humphrey which is almost as much as his paycheck for that game. Given, that the Ravens have paid their players $54,500 for the divisional round game, out of which $45,020 has been fined that equals 82.6%.

The four-time Pro Bowler was found to be more upset about the imposed fine by the league because he didn’t receive any official warning or notice from the NFL and found the penalty news while scrolling on the internet.
