Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens were expected to contend for the Super Bowl this season. So far, that hope seems to be running on thin ice as they have struggled to a 1-5 start.
Admittedly, the star QB has been missing in action in their past two games due to injury. But even when he was there, they were not necessarily lighting up the league as their fans would expect.
Their first loss was a result of their inability to hold on to their lead. Other than their win over the hapless Cleveland Browns, their games since have displayed an inability to stay focused in late-game situations.
Embarrassing losses to the Chiefs and Texans revealed their complete lack of effort and structure. Now, as they are coming out of their bye week, the team’s top brass and head coach, John Harbaugh, have taken a drastic step.
As per the Baltimore Sun, the coaching staff removed all recreational staples from the locker room. Gone are the basketball hoop, the ping-pong table, the cornhole boards, and the video game consoles.
Multiple players told The Sun the decision came from the coaching staff, who wanted to strip away distractions and have the team fully locked in amid its disappointing start.

After losing to the Chiefs and a 1-3 start, the Ravens removed all the locker room fun stuff: a basketball hoop, pingpong table, cornhole boards, and video game consoles, often lit up with Super Smash Bros.

The four writers collaborating on this article added that whenever there was a slump, the Ravens coaches have resorted to this method. Now, with the fun stuff gone, the hope is that players will regain their focus.
Lamar Jackson captured ordering food while suspected to be ‘high’
Whether or not Lamar Jackson returns this week is still a question that remains unanswered. The superstar QB, however, was captured on camera ordering food.
The video shows the 28-year-old getting a hold of two plates full of rice, chicken, and some fries from a food truck. The problem with the video is that those spreading it around noticed that the two-time league MVP was apparently high.
His eyes seem to be drooping, and that led many to believe the Ravens QB was high, as he is still out due to injury. If this were to be true, then this is another of those off-the-field distractions that the franchise’s top brass needs to address.

The last thing they want is players losing focus on their task at hand. Despite having a championship-contending team at their disposal, the Ravens have found themselves in a deep hole with playoff hopes slipping away.
Lamar Jackson hits back at social media pages spreading false news
A few hours after those videos spread online, they caught the attention of Lamar Jackson himself. Once he realized what was being spread by engagement-baiting accounts, he wrote this on X:

Bra y’all gotta stop engaging with these people. They like to lie when their views low, that’s why I unfollow these weirdos.

The Florida native believes it is better that his fans do not follow or engage with such accounts, as they will write anything to push engagement. This tweet suggests he was not high as those pages would like fans to believe.
