Team India’s star allrounder Ravichandran Ashwin just carry forwarded his staggering form from Chennai to Ahmedabad where India and England are currently playing the pink-ball day-night Test in the Narendra Modi Stadium. The off-spinner dismissed England’s skipper Joe Root early, piling the pressure on the already backfired batting decision.

Team England lost Dominic Sibley and Jonny Bairstow early at the meagre total of 27 runs. With high hopes from his mates, the skipper Joe Root walked the pitch but couldn’t put a ravishing show with the bat.

Just when England opener Zak Crawley and Joe Root looked to consolidate their sinking ship, Ashwin deceptive bowling came as an iceberg in between, scalping Root’s wicket at just 17 runs.

A full ball by Ashwin deceived Root, as the former played the delivery outside the line of the ball that gripped the surface and turned. With the ball directly hitting the pads, Root fell prey to Ashwin’s bowling during the 22nd over of the play.

With the Team celebrating in unanimity, Indian skipper Virat Kohli looked highly aggressive after getting the wicket of England’s go-to-man, Joe Root.

The 34-year-old is the leading wicket taker for the Indian side in the series. Till not he has scalped 18 wickets and is yet to continue with his performance in the days of the third Test that are left, and the fourth match that will follow.
