Casey O’Neill’s unanimous decision win over Luana Santos at UFC 305 at RAC Arena only capped off a viral celebration after the victory. But the one person targeted in that uncharacteristic post-fight celebration is Aussie Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn. Subsequently, fans are all here for it.

O’Neill took on Luana Santos in a women’s flyweight fight at the UFC 305 pay-per-view (PPV) preliminary card. O’Neill has stumbled of late with back-to-back losses to Jennifer Maia and Ariane Lipski after a perfect 9-0 start to her professional career, including her first four UFC fights. Hence a homebound Casey O’Neill said at the Media Day that this win would mean a lot to her. Which it did, if the dance is any true representation.

Shortly after making short work of Mariya Agapova in July, Santos agreed to face Casey O’Neill at UFC 305. Expecting a home cooking in the enemy crowd, the Brazilian went to war with her. Scrambling right off the bat O’Neill countered well to her aggressiveness. She caught a kick and took O’Neill down. But ‘King’ Casey broke free again and again and got the better of the striking clinic with kicks and jab combos. O’Neill defeated Luana Santos via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26). But much to her surprise, the Team Fight Ready flyweight mocked Raygun instead of her!

Rachel ‘Raygun’ Gunn was the newest sensation to come out of Women’s Breakdancing event at Paris Olympics 2024. Moves denounced by the entire breakdancing universe were performed by Gunn. Now rumors abound that there may be a massive conspiracy behind the scenes. As such, O’Neill and her post-fight break at breaking has gone quite viral.

The Paris 2024 Olympics have been full of controversy to no end. Finally, the IOC’s radical decision to include niche sports such as breakdancing has incited havoc. As part of a push to attract a younger audience to the Games, Olympic Breaking has been a late addition to the whole grind. B-girl Raygun, the Aussie underdog performer caught a lot of flack for it. The Australian fanbase has even signed a petition to hold her ‘accountable for unethical conduct’ and barred moves.

With her and Alexander Volkanovski, the Aussie consensus now considers UFC Fighters to be 2-0 over actual dancers with their slick moves. Fans have expressed as such. A prime reaction (@MainEventTV_AKA) quipped “Damn. Ray Gun getting dragged globally deserves its own study“.

It has been a matter of slamming Raygun again than the actual win. As such, the matter, and the definite repulsion towards breaking with remain a hot topic for a while.
