Alvin Kamara hinted at exit rumors from the New Orleans Saints in the most unique way possible. The veteran running back disclosed looking for potential buyers for his house in New Orleans.
Kamara’s time with the Saints appears to be in its twilight phase. The stalled contract talks made him abruptly leave the Saints training session in June. He eventually came back and practiced with the team.
However, a sudden urge to sell his house raised a lot of eyebrows.
You looking for a house? I’m pretty intentional when it comes to those moves that I make with real estate. I got other properties around the city, too. So, [even] if I sell [the house] today, I’ll have somewhere to be, so I’m good.Alvin Kamara said as per Matthew Paras of nola.com
Kamara enlisted his 6,924-square-foot property built in 2022 for sale and is asking for around $2.75 million.

Is Alvin Kamara leaving the New Orleans Saints?
Kamara is one of the most dynamic running backs in the NFL and a constant presence in the Saints lineup. He only has two years remaining on his contract, and if the Saints don’t extend it after this season, then there will be ample suitors for the 29-year-old’s services.
Going into the 8th year of his NFL career, Kamara feels he can play for a long time but doesn’t want to leave it until late to win silverware.
I don’t want to sit here and say, ‘I’ve got time. I’ve got time.’ [There] Ain’t no time, so I’m trying to run it up. I’m trying to do what I can to have the most success. [And] in this league, we measure success by Super Bowls and playing in February. That’s what I’m trying to get to.Alvin Kamara added
Alvin Kamara has 2 years left in his contract and has a cap hit of $18.5 million, which is the most in the Saints team. If they fail to reach an agreement, then the Saints will look to recoup the $18.5 million after he is gone.
“I’ve said it before, I want to be a Saint. I want to retire here.”

It will be a big loss for the team if that happens. Over the years, the former third-round pick has been among the primary scorers for the Saints. Even though he has never crossed the 1000 rushing yards mark in his league career, Kamara is a 2x second-team All-Pro and 6x time Pro Bowler.
In 2023, he had 180 carries for 694 yards and 5 touchdowns in 13 games. His best in terms of overall numbers is the 2020 campaign, when he lodged 187 carries for 932 yards and 16 touchdowns. He will be on the Saints team that will face the Carolina Panthers in week 1.
