Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti opened up about star forward Vinicius Jr.‘s future at the club amidst Saudi PL interest. Ancelotti firmly expressed his belief that the Brazilian winger would choose to stay back at the club rather than making a lucrative move.

Vinicius Jr. has been Real Madrid’s best player over the last few seasons, winning three La Liga, two UCLs, and two FIFA Club World Cup titles with the club. He has scored a staggering 101 goals and provided another 83 assists in his 291 appearances for the Los Blancos. This season as well, Vini has been electric in front of the goal, scoring 16 times in 26 matches.

Lifting the UCL and Spanish league titles last season, Vinicius Jr. was poised to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or award. He, however, ended up second, behind Manchester City’s Rodri. This left the Brazilian forward low on confidence, also sparking rumors of a possible exit. Saudi PL clubs have been interested in signing him for more than a year, ready to offer more than €1.4 billion for the 24-year-old star.

However, manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed confidence that the Brazilian star would remain with the Los Blancos for the years to come. Speaking in a recent interview, the Italian manager stated that Vinicius is happy and that he understands the forward. He added that Vinicius aims to win more trophies with Real Madrid. Ancelotti later asserted that the 24-year-old would choose glory over a lucrative Saudi offer.

I understood Toni Kroos retiring from football… But to me, Vinicius looks happy and excited about staying here and winning trophies with Real Madrid. I think he’s thinking about choosing glory.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti’s comments came ahead of Real Madrid’s crucial last-round UCL encounter against Brest. Los Blancos are high on the back of a dominating four-match winning run, where they have scored a total of 17 goals and conceded only four times.

Iker Casillas was in attendance during a charity match between Real Madrid legends and Atletico Madrid legends at the Madrid Arena Pavilion. After the match, he was questioned about his views on Vinicius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid. To this, he replied by highlighting the forward’s brilliant evolution over the years and urged him to stay at Madrid and become the best player.

As a Madridista, I’d love for Vinicius to stay at Madrid. He has had an incredible evolution since he arrived. At first, he was mocked, but now he’s one of the best players in the world.
