Real Madrid come out with a well earned 2-0 victory against Osasuna
Real Madrid came out from their recent goalscoring slump in La Liga with a well warned 2-0 victory against Osasuna. Los Blancos suffered two goal less draws against Real Betis and Getafe and found themselves off the La Liga race.
With this win Real continue their quest for the La Liga title and are 1 point off Atletico Madrid. Goals from Eder Militao and Casemiro handed Real a well earned win in the second half.

Zidane fielded an attacking lineup with the likes of Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius and a first start for Eden Hazard since his recent ankle injury. The move paid off as Real started on the front foot and created a host of chances in the first half itself.
Osasuna goalkeeper Herrera pulled off a string of stunning saves to deny Eder Militao and Eden Hazard in the first half. The keeper produced 3 saves in a single Madrid move and kept the away side in the tie.
Real Madrid went into the half time break doing everything right except scoring and looked all set to break the deadlock in the second half. Osasuna defended in numbers in the second half but Real ultimately found a way through a corner in the 75th minute.
Isco swung in a corner and Eder Militao finally burried his header past the Osasuna goalkeeper who had stopped everything thrown at him till then. Real doubled their lead 5 minutes later almost comically through the combination of Karim Benzema and Casemiro.
Benzema found a through pass onto Casemiro’s path whose control let him down and the ball found the back of the net past the onrushing goalkeeper.
The win keeps the title race very nicely poised where all the Top-4 teams have a chance to lift the title this season. Real Madrid have a huge match on Wednesday against Chelsea followed by the visit of Sevilla, who are 4th in the league.
