Real Madrid are always on the lookout for players who can strengthen their team. They are arguably the greatest club in the world and are definitely the attraction point for any player. Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport has reported that Los Blancos are looking to strengthen their backline in the summer transfer window. They have been previously interested in signing William Saliba from Arsenal and are looking to re-ignite their interest at the end of the season.

The reigning La Liga champions have faced issues in their backline with the injuries to David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, and Eder Militao. Therefore, they are in desperate need of a centre-back who is an upgrade to their current lot. The 23-year-old Saliba is one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.

Arsenal’s young French defender stands out with his blend of physicality and finesse. His towering presence and speed make him a formidable opponent in aerial duels and when chasing down attackers. On the ball, he’s remarkably composed, showcasing elegant ball control and distribution that belies his size. His tactical awareness is exceptional, often reading the game ahead to intercept passes.

Saliba has conceded 15 goals and kept eight clean sheets in 22 matches in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. That means when Saliba is on the pitch, his team concedes a goal every 128 minutes. Moreover, he’s made 1.97 tackles and 0.74 interceptions for every 90 minutes he was on the pitch. Saliba is also racking up about 3.05 clearances at the same time.

He has a contract with the Gunners till 2027 and is an integral part of the project of Mikel Arteta. Hence, the Gunners will do all that they can to retain him, and if he does move to Real Madrid, he will certainly be the most expensive defender.

Fichajes has reported that the Gunners are looking to make a move to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window. The North London club has suffered due to the injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka. Moreover, Gabriel Martinelli, Jesus, and Havertz have not been that prolific in front of goal this season.

He is known for his explosive pace, making him one of the fastest players in the Bundesliga. His agility and dribbling skills allow him to move past defenders with ease. Adeyemi’s attacking flair is complemented by his ability to score from various positions, showcasing versatility as both a winger and forward.

However, his ball retention and decision-making in critical moments are areas for improvement. His youthful energy and potential suggest a bright future in football. Therefore, the Dortmund player will be a vital asset for the Gunners.

Adeyemi also has been in fine form this season. He has scored two goals in 11 matches so far in the Bundesliga 2024/2025 season. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.33. Moreover, Adeyemi’s total G/A (goals + assists) is five for this season.
