William Saliba has built a formidable reputation at Arsenal. Over the span of the last two years, he has been on an ever-ascending curve. With such popularity comes in major attention and as reports state, Real Madrid might be on their way to try and lure Saliba into their ranks.

As reported by Spanish outlet, Sport, Real Madrid might have already plotted a full-blown move to land Saliba. To bring William Saliba on board, Real Madrid might have to shell out a fee of £83 million which would be a record-breaking fee for the defender.

The report states that Real Madrid have already registered the preliminary inquiries with William Saliba’s representatives. The initial response has been promising enough. However, the entire deal might just depend on whether the French defender is willing to part ways with the Gunner.

Despite the hearsay, Saliba has openly expressed his commitment to Arsenal. The young sensation signed a contract extension last summer which has bound him to the club for the next two and a half years. In an interview last month, Saliba stated that he feels at home in Arsenal.

In a welcome move for Arsenal with the number of injuries already in place, Mikel Arteta hinted that Ben White might be back earlier than expected. In a presser, Arteta confirmed that White’s knee has been recovering well and if things go right, there will be one less thing to worry for the Gunners.

On the same note, Arteta also said that Raheem Sterling might also be in earlier than anticipated. The Englishman suffered an injury almost during the same time their star man Bukayo Saka injured his hamstring.

Regarding Sterling, Arteta said that he has been taking sessions in the ground as well, which is an indicator that he might be in earlier to boost Arsenal’s run in the Premier League.
