The WWE Universe was tremendously excited when Raw shifted to Netflix. Alongside other things, one of the major selling points for this change was that the show would no longer be bound by a time limit. They did not have to use fillers to extend the show length or cut out segments to shorten the show. However, it seems that this is no longer the case, as was evident in Jey Uso’s match on the latest episode of Raw.

According to WrestleVotes, the match between Uso and Austin Theory was supposed to last for about 11 minutes. However, John Cena‘s segment allegedly went way longer than it was supposed to. Thus, the promotion cut time from the Samoan’s match. Hence, it was scheduled to be a squash match lasting less than a minute.

Fans were taken aback by this report. Raw has not had a fixed run time for quite a few weeks now. The show generally ends around the two-and-a-half-hour mark, although there is no obligation from Netflix to end at a specific point in time. This implies that the production team made the decision to stick to this length of the show, despite no external pressures.

The latest episode of Raw featured Uso taking on Austin Theory in a singles match after weeks of him feuding against A-Town Down Under. The two superstars ran the ropes to begin the match. The Samoan landed a supposed spear, which looked more like a crossbody, and pinned his opponent to win the match within seconds.

Jey Uso fends off Gunther’s surprise attack on Raw

Following his match against Austin Theory, Jey Uso blasted Grayson Waller off the ring apron with a superkick. With the former WWE Tag Team Champions on the ground, the former Intercontinental Champion went for a dive over the top rope.

However, Uso caught his back on the ropes, ending in a severely botched dive. Many fans even compared this to Top Dolla‘s botched dive a couple of years ago. Shortly after, Gunther ambushed his WrestleMania opponent, and locked the Royal Rumble winner into a sleeper hold.

The 39-year-old successfully fought out of the Gojira clutch, and tore the belt off the champion’s waist. He posed with the World Heavyweight Championship on the turnbuckles, before throwing it back towards Gunther.

Jey Uso will team up with a mystery partner to take on A-Town Down Under next week on Raw

Jey Uso has been feuding with A-Town Down Under for a few weeks now. He has fought both Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in singles matches, and now it is time for him to take on the former WWE Champions in a tag team match. Thus, WWE has advertised the Samoan taking both of them on with a mystery partner next week on Raw.

There is a lot of speculation about who this mystery partner could be. In fact, many fans predict that Joe Hendry will be making a surprise appearance on Raw to team up with the 2025 Royal Rumble winner. This would be the TNA Champion’s first ever appearance on the WWE main roster.

Another segment of fans seem to think that WWE would keep the TNA crossovers limited to NXT. Instead, they believe that Jimmy Uso will be reuniting with his twin next Monday. The last time these two teamed together was at Survivor Series, and it has been quite a while since they were a tag team.
