Samantha Irvin unexpectedly quit WWE this week before Raw. This heartbreaking news caught fans off guard and caused a wave of multiple questions about the reason behind this sudden exit. Now, a report has finally shed light on the abrupt departure of the former WWE ring announcer.
According to Dave Meltzer on WOR, Irvin wanted to pursue a career in singing. He revealed that the 35-year-old has been thinking about bidding adieu to WWE for almost a year. Therefore, this exit was imminent for a long time.

Samantha Irvin had reportedly been considering her WWE departure for "about a year", with her intention to pursue her music career rather than leaving to join AEW. However Dave Meltzer would also not 100% rule out that happening at some point in the future either:

Moreover, Samantha tried to pursue her singing career side by side but ultimately had to make a decision. Therefore, she decided to step away from her duties in WWE. Meltzer also confirmed that, although there are no plans for her to sign with AEW, it is possible down the line.
Additionally, Irvin penned down an emotional message for her fans before she announced her exit. It seemingly confirmed that she is leaving her duties on a good note. Nonetheless, Irvin was replaced by legendary Lilian Garcia this week, who kicked off her stint from this week’s Raw.
