Popular NFL player Patrick Mahomes showed up on this week’s Raw. In a short appearance, he made a lot of headlines throughout the globe. However, one factor that raised many eyebrows throughout the segment was his portrayal of a heel. This was a big deal, as Raw was from the city of Kansas, and Mahomes was from the same city. Now, a new report has finally shed some light on this intriguing aspect.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE didn’t book this segment on Raw. It was all done for sponsors. Mahomes, who is a part of PRIME Hydrations, accompanied Logan Paul. WWE wanted to book an angle with the Kansas City Chiefs QB. Therefore, sponsors decided to portray such an angle to complement the character of the Maverick as well.

WWE did not book this segment. It was was a sponsored segment that’s why Patrick Mahomes was there, because Patrick Mahomes is a part of the PRIME Energy Drink that Logan Paul is a part of. So they basically sponsored the segment and they wanted Logan Paul and Patrick Mahomes to work together in an angle.
