Red Bull M.E.O. 2021 to include Battlegrounds Mobile India alongside other titles: Schedule, format and more

Red Bull has announced the fourth season of the MEO (Mobile Esports Open) which will include three gaming titles: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), World Cricket Championship (WCC) and Teamfight Tactics (TFT). The registrations for the tournament have already started and the qualifiers are all set to begin from 9th October,2021.
Red Bull Mobile Esports Open (MEO) is one of the largest mobile esports competition in the world. As it is an open for all tournament, amateurs gamers can participate alongside professional eSports players. The third season of Red Bull MEO held in India consisted the popular battle-royale game, PUBG Mobile. This year, the officials have decided to include Battlegrounds Mobile India which has created a domination in the eSports scenario of the country.

The competitions in India will be conducted across three gaming titles- Battlegrounds Mobile India, World Cricket Championship and Teamfight Tactics. The tournament will feature multiple online qualifiers followed by the play-off stages and the lastly, the National Finals.
On Red Bull M.E.O. Season 4, Red Bull athlete and India’s top e-sports athlete Ankit ‘V3nom’ Panth said,
“It’s going to be bigger and better. Red Bull M.E.O. is a platform for all the budding gamers who want to prove their mettle. We have multiple titles this year, and if you are a gamer who wants to prove himself, you shouldn’t miss this opportunity.”
For players unaware about the gaming titles that have been included, Battlegrounds Mobile India is an online battle-royale game that has been developed and published by Krafton Inc. The game has been restricted to Indian users only. It was released on 2nd July for Android devices and 18th August,2021 for iOS devices.
World Cricket Championship is a series of 3D mobile cricket games developed by Nextwave Multimedia. The developers have released various update versions under the WCC franchise. The game is played worldwide, mainly in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, UK, UAE and Sri Lanka.
Teamfight Tactics published by Riot Games is an auto battler game. It is based on Dota Auto Chess where players compete against seven other opponents by building teams and become the last one surviving.

- 1st October 2021: Registrations open
- 9th October to 13th November 2021: Online qualifiers
- 15th to 26th November 2021: Online playoffs
- 4th December 2021: National Finals
Progression
Qualifiers to Play-Offs
BGMI: The top 16 teams of the qualifiers will progress towards playoffs. Along with that, sixteen 16 professional BGMI teams will be invited who will directly play in the play-offs.
WCC: The qualifiers will be conducted for 48 days on both WCC2 and WCC3. 96 players will participate in the play-offs, 48 from WCC2 and 48 from WCC3.
TFT: Intermediate playoffs will not be held and the top 16 players from the TFT qualifiers will be able to progress directly to the TFT National Finals.

Prize
The winners from each gaming title will get an opportunity to watch the 2022 Formula One Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring. Along with that, the winners will get an exclusive tour of Hangar-7, the unique museum, store and aircraft hangar in Salzburg, Austria.
