Fans were left fuming over refereeing errors once again, after Real Madrid youngster Endrick was not sent off for a foul on an Alaves player, during a 3-2 win. The 18-year-old young forward was spotted kicking a player in the groin with his knee.
Brazilian wonder-kid Endrick has been in the headlines, since his arrival from Palmeiras this summer. He most recently became the youngest Los Blancos player to score a goal in the UCL, against Stuttgart. Making seven appearances from the bench, he has already scored two goals for the club. He stirred controversy during the club’s last match against Espanyol, after a foul made of him outside the box resulted in a penalty, despite the contact taking place outside the penalty box.
Endrick has once again embroiled himself in a controversy. Against Alaves, he escaped a red card despite committing a bizarre foul on defender Santiago Mourino. The Brazilian was making a run inside the box while awaiting a cross, before making contact with the defender. He then kicked Mourino in his groin with his left knee, following which the play was stopped and Endrick was shown a yellow card. Fans however believe that the forward should have been sent off for the action.
How’s this not a red card? No wonder I didn’t waste my precious time on this match

This has raised some serious questions over the league’s refereeing standards as well its ‘biased’ attitude toward Real Madrid players. Moreover, Alaves coach Luis Garcia Plaza in an interview after the match, claimed that Endrick should have been sent off for the challenge.
Fans slam Endrick for a ridiculous foul on Alaves defender Santiago Mourino during recent La Liga encounter
Real Madrid rivals felt that young forward Endrick should have been sent off for a poor challenge on Alaves defender Santiago Mourino, kneeing him in his groin area. The 18-year-old escaped with a yellow-card, despite opposition from the Alaves players.
Fans angrily shared their reactions on social media, with some of them terming it as violent. A few others expressed shock over such behavior by Endrick. Some others blamed it on the corruption prevalent in the league, stating that the forward should have been suspended. Many fans called out Real Madrid and its fans, labeling the team as ‘VARdrid’.

The club is expected to speak to the young forward over his behavior, in order to avoid a repeat of the incident. Nonetheless, Real Madrid registered a 3-2 win over Alaves, through goals from Lucas Vazquez, Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappe.
