The latest episode of Raw featured Seth Rollins taking on Finn Balor in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. The WWE Universe has seen these two former Universal Champions clash multiple times in the past, and it has always been a treat to watch. This match was definitely no different.
At one point during their bout, Rollins caught his opponent with a pedigree. He went for a pinfall, but Finn Balor seemed to be just fractions of a second late in kicking out. The referee’s hand was about to hit the mat before the Irish wrestler got his shoulder up. Thus, the match official restrained himself and called off the pin before The Prince even moved.
Regardless, the match continued, and Balor landed a Coup De Grace. However, Rollins just wouldn’t stay down for the three-count. Thus, the inaugural Universal Champion put his opponent in a crossface. The Architect was eventually able to fight out and land a stomp to pick up the pinfall victory on Raw.

A fan pointed out that, coincidentally, this was the same referee who officiated the match between Rollins and Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank 2024. During that match, the Archer of Infamy failed to kick out after two. However, the match official called off the pin anyway, costing the Architect a world title.
EC3 showers massive praise on Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor on Raw
As mentioned previously, these two superstars are nearly incapable of putting on a bad match. Following the latest episode of Raw, social media was buzzing with praise for Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Former WWE superstar EC3 also joined in and showered compliments on these superstars while speaking on Legion of Raw.

EC3 opined that this match featured not only several cool spots but also great selling. There is no doubt that these two superstars have great chemistry, and their in-ring psychology is off the charts. Furthermore, while the result is unfortunate for Balor, the right person seemingly won.
I think if you like good wrestling, Rollins and Finn was really good. Because like, they did, they did their cool stuff. What they do. They sold some stuff like the gut versus the knee and the coup de grace. Oh, like, that’s great psychology. His leg was hurt and he hits the thing on him, takes him a second to get his stuff together to make the cover. And is that just enough? That’s those intricacies I like.

Following the latest episode of Raw, the 2025 Men’s Elimination Chamber line-up has been fully confirmed. Seth Rollins is set to enter the steel structure with Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, CM Punk, and John Cena.
All these superstars have had their qualifying matches on Raw or SmackDown over the past few weeks except for the Cenation leader, who announced his direct entry into the match right after the Royal Rumble.
