Carlito’s return to WWE has perhaps not been as successful as originally planned. His rivalry against LWO did not get over with fans, and the 45-year-old’s in-ring skills have also deteriorated over the years. While he did find a place for himself in The Judgment Day, that is seemingly coming to an end as well.
According to WrestleVotes, there is a possibility that WWE is planning to remove Carlito from The Judgment Day. The promotion perhaps does not see him playing a significant enough role in the faction anymore. Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Raquel Rodriguez are busy in their feud against Rhea Ripley. Meanwhile, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh will be re-entering the tag team division. This leaves this Puerto Rican star as the oddball with not much to do.
Carlito joined The Judgment Day when he was looking for backup in his fight against the LWO. He helped the group pick up wins on Raw, and they agreed to have his back in return despite initially sending him away. After this faction war, he seemingly faded into the background. He simply acted as a henchman for Damian Priest or Balor during his time there.
Although the former Intercontinental Champion did not do much during his time in The Judgment Day, he acted as a great comic relief. He was often seen on the PlayStation, minding his own business, and would occasionally say his iconic dialogue, “That’s cool!”
The WWE Universe is disappointed to find out that Carlito may soon be leaving The Judgment Day
Despite him not having a huge role in The Judgment Day storyline, fans loved Carlito’s quick and witty remarks. He rounded out the serious faction with his comedy and was a great fit for them. With him seemingly on his way out of the faction, netizens weren’t sure what was next for the 45-year-old. Some were even worried that the company may soon release him after having no creative direction for him anymore.
Some netizens argued that this may be for the best. The Judgment Day has become a joke over the past few weeks. They had to get rid of him if they wanted to establish themselves as a serious and the top faction on Raw. All the current members of the group are involved in serious feuds, and Dominik Mysterio may perhaps be going for the Intercontinental Championship in the future. Carlito may only be dragging them down.
However, not all social media users were so glim about his future. Some thought that he still had it in him to get a decent singles run in WWE. He could go back to his Caribbean Cool gimmick, go back to spitting apples in people’s faces, and perhaps have a run with the Intercontinental Championship himself.
