The Buffalo Bills are going to be just alright. Despite losing his top target Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans this offseason, Josh Allen has come out of the gates playing better than he did last season.

In Sunday night’s opening game against the Arizona Cardinals, Josh Allen seemed at ease, confident, and more composed than ever. Despite trailing throughout the first half, he ended up leading the Buffalo Bills to a comeback win in the second half. Allen’s stellar performance had ESPN’s Rex Ryan ogling over him!

When asked about the most impressive thing he witnessed on opening night, the former NFL head coach wasted no time in responding.

Josh Allen, not even close. Josh Allen is the baddest man on the planet. I've said it from jump, my favorite player in the league, the best player in the league...he scores in the redzone...you got to love this kid, look at him dropping dimes all over the place...

Ryan was in awe of Allen as he watched the highlights of the quarterback’s performance against the Arizona Cardinals. He praised Allen’s overall game and called him the ‘best player in the league’.

Josh Allen executed the Bills’ offensive game plan to perfection against the Cardinals

The quarterback completed 18 of 23 passes, threw for 232 yards, and two touchdowns. The cherry on top for Allen was the fact that he scored both those touchdowns by rushing for a total of 39 yards on nine carries. There was nothing that he did not do on opening night. This year, the quarterback seems to be on a revenge tour to prove his NFL counterparts wrong for naming him the most overrated player in the league.

If this was a preview of the football that Josh Allen intends to play for the remainder of the season, the league must be careful. If he continues to play on this level, there is no doubt that he will be a frontrunner to win the Most Valuable Player award this season.

Josh Allen was able to connect with his wide receiver core spearheaded by Keon Coleman, who had four receptions and 51 yards, and Khalil Shair who caught three passes for 42 yards. In Week 2, the Bills will meet their first challenge of this season as they take on the Miami Dolphins. It remains to be seen if Josh Allen can continue to be dominant against a high-scoring offense such as Miami.
