Josh Allen has all but slammed the door on the 2024 NFL MVP race after an insane stretch of games this past month. The Bills have taken down the Chiefs, 49ers, and Lions in three of their last four matchups, and Allen has been nothing short of unstoppable.
Over those four games, Allen has racked up a jaw-dropping 1,114 passing yards with eight touchdowns and just one interception. Not satisfied with that, he’s added 223 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, and even caught a touchdown for good measure—because why not?
Allen became the first quarterback in NFL Super Bowl history to have a passing, receiving, and rushing touchdown in the same game. He also recorded a 3 passing and 3 rushing TD game which saw him becoming the first QB to achieve the feat as well. It is without any question that the recently engaged man should be a frontrunner in the MVP race, which is almost coming to a close.
Rex Ryan, a former NFL player and broadcaster, shared his opinion on Josh Allen’s MVP candidacy in ESPN’s Get Up segment. Ryan admitted that he feels Allen should be unanimously awarded the trophy this season.
Mike Florio, writer at NBC Sports, wrote about Allen’s chances being sky-high despite so many games remaining in the season at the time of writing. He also admitted that his MVP vote goes to Allen. However, Florio also noted that the season could shift in any way.
"If anybody votes for somebody other than Josh Allen for the MVP, take their MVP vote away and give it to somebody that actually knows the game."

In the end, the MVP race will be decided by the 50 voters submitting their ballots after the final regular-season game. Official decisions aren’t meant to be made until the season concludes.
Josh Allen breaks more records and milestones in MVP solidifying performance against Detroit Lions
Josh Allen lit it up on Sunday, throwing 362 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Lions. He also made history, becoming the first player to rack up 35+ passing and rushing touchdowns in four straight seasons. He surpassed the record held by Brett Favre, former Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers QB.
Josh Allen accomplished yet another milestone in what has been a sensational season for the Bills’ quarterback. In the first half of Sunday’s game against the Lions, Allen rushed for two touchdowns, helping the Bills secure an early 14-0 lead.
In doing so, Allen surpassed Hall of Fame running back Lenny Moore on the all-time rushing touchdowns list and is now tied with fellow Hall of Famer Larry Csonka at 49th overall. His 64th career rushing touchdown came on an impressive four-yard run. Allen is now one touchdown run away from tying the franchise record of 65 rushing TDs by Thurman Thomas.
