Despite all the drama, shoot fights, and controversies that often go around in the world of professional wrestling, the business can often be a wholesome place. It is quite heartening to see legends of the industry appreciate each other for their achievements. Something similar happened recently with the case of Ric Flair and Lex Luger.

WWE recently announced that Luger was going to be a part of the 2025 Hall of Fame. Following this news, Ric Flair posted a vintage photo of himself alongside the Total Package on X. He brought up their history in WCW, congratulated him for his achievement, and said how much he enjoyed working with him.

Luger and Flair were both integral parts of early WCW. They have faced off numerous times in their careers in singles and tag matches across numerous promotions like NWA, Championship Wrestling from Florida, and Jim Crockett Promotions. They also had an iconic feud for the NWA World Championship during the late 80s.

Ric Flair reveals he still works for Tony Khan

Ric Flair showed up in AEW in late 2023 to accompany his longtime friend, Sting, during his final few months as a professional wrestler. His relationship with the company also led them to signing a deal to promote the Nature Boy’s Wooooo energy drink. Although the 76-year-old has not been seen with AEW in over a year, he revealed that Tony Khan is still his employer.

Vince Russo recently accused Flair of trying to get more WWE TV appearances with his recent social media posts. An example of this was the Hall of Famer calling out John Cena, saying that he wouldn’t let him get to 17 World Championship victories and break the record.

Flair responded to these accusations with a photo of himself, Tony Khan, and Sting. He said that Russo was simply using his name to get a rating. He added that the AEW CEO was still his employer, and the billionaire understands when he has to make appearances at WWE events like the Hall of Fame.
