Recently, Ric Flair stole headlines when AEW co-executive producer Michael Mansury spoke about his time in WWE. During an appearance on Talk with Jericho, Mansury reminisced on the time WWE was preparing for The Nature Boy’s memorial show. As such, the Hall of Famer reacted to the news and expressed his admiration for the Stamford-based promotion.

Flair, on his X account, claimed that the dedication that WWE showed is what every wrestler in the business aspires to. Furthermore, he mentioned that despite working for AEW at the moment, he’ll always ‘love’ WWE. Therefore, the sixteen-time world champion stated that the promotion wouldn’t disappoint when “the day comes.”

In 2017, Ric Flair battled a series of severe health issues. As such, Mansury revealed that WWE had prepared three different episodes in case the legend couldn’t make it. Fortunately, Flair survived and would even compete in one more match in 2022. The Naitch emerged victorious as he teamed with his son-in-law, Andrade, to defeat Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.

Ahead of Sting‘s retirement tour, Tony Khan signed Flair to a two-year deal. The 75-year-old accompanied his rival-turned-friend as the latter wrestled in his final matches. Since then, he hasn’t made any appearances for the promotion, despite his energy drink still being a major on-screen sponsor.

Ric Flair admits he was ‘wrong’ to escalate restaurant incident

Ric Flair once again landed himself in hot waters as he accused Gainesville restaurant Piesanos’ staff of disrespecting him. Naitch alleged that he was asked to leave the restaurant after taking issue with the kitchen manager.

However, the owner of the restaurant denied Flair’s claims and said that he kicked the wrestling legend out for being drunk and acting disorderly with a blind woman. Later, footage of the incident seemingly backed the owner’s side of the story. As a result, Flair, during an appearance on The MJ Morning Show on Q105, admitted that he was “wrong” for acting inappropriately.

The Nature Boy praised the restaurant and raved about the food, revealing that he enjoyed his time there. Flair, however, denied being drunk. In addition to that, the WWE Hall of Famer said that he ordered from the restaurant after the incident, confirming he wouldn’t be boycotting the place.
