“I don’t think they’ll give it to a part-timer” Ric Flair reveals why John Cena won’t be able to break his record

“I don’t think they’ll give it to a part-timer” Ric Flair reveals why John Cena won’t be able to break his record

Ric Flair is one of the all-time greatest superstars in the pro wrestling industry. The 16-time world champion who is all set to compete in his last match on July 29, recently spoke about Who he thinks will break his record to become the 17-time world champion. Notably, Ric Flair will fight his last match in a tag team match, teaming with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to face the team of Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. The match will take place at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, just a night before WWE will host its premium PPV Summerslam.

On being asked who’ll be the one to make history, Flair said that he believes it would not be John Cena for sure. Flair also stated the reason for his statement as he said- “I don’t think so. I don’t think they will ever give it to a part-time performer.”  John Cena returned to Raw on the June 27th  edition of Raw and there were plans to start a feud between him and Theory before they were eventually pulled off.

Ric Flair will fight his last match on 29th July at Municipal Auditorium at Nashville.

The Peacemaker star who is about to begin shooting for the second season of the already hit show, now mainly is a part-timer as he juggles between his Hollywood shoots and WWE. This is why Flair thinks that the honor would instead be given to someone who is more regular in the ring and he placed his bet on the former Evolution ally, Randy Orton.

The Nature Boy said- “I think that Randy Orton has got a better shot at it. Randy will come back, he has to have surgery. I certainly wouldn’t be offended because the real number is 21. They all have a way to go.”Flair stated that there were some Title wins that WWE doesn’t count which takes the total number of wins to 21, thus all the superstars are behind him in a certain way and have a long way to go.

Flair said that his other world title reigns as NWA champion are not counted by WWE in the record. He said he dropped and won the title on four different occasions against superstars like Jack Veneno, Carlos Carlon, Victor Jovica, and Tatsumi Fujinami. The Nature Boy also clarified- “I love John Cena. He is such a credible performer and just one of the great guys in the business.” Flair also reflected on Vince McMahon’s retirement and said he was not happy with McMahon’s departure.
