“He doesn’t give a sh*t,” WWE HOF’er makes surprising claim about John Cena while lauding Charlotte Flair’s work ethic to surpass him anytime
John Cena might be closer than ever to breaking Ric Flair's all-time WWE record. However, the latter believes Cena isn't willing to do it.

Does John Cena not care about becoming a 17-time World Champion in WWE? At least a man who’s tied with him at sixteen title reigns apiece thinks so. Ric Flair was recently a guest on the Busted Open Radio podcast. The 75-year-old spoke at length about the impending WWE return of his daughter, Charlotte Flair, and how that impacts the business.
The Queen, who’s a 14-time World Champion, has more world title reigns than any other woman in the company’s history. She’s three more reigns shy of surpassing her legendary father and becoming the all-time leader, regardless of the gender. Sharing his thoughts on that, Ric claimed that it’d be the biggest thing to ever happen in this industry.
Moreover, taking Cena into account, The Nature Boy surprisingly claimed that John doesn’t care about beating that record anymore. Even though the retired wrestler said that pro wrestling will forever be Cena’s passion, he’s in a totally different world at the moment. Flair said so while alluding to John’s burgeoning Hollywood aspirations.
Where on the other hand, The Dirtiest Player in the Game adjudged Charlotte as the best women’s wrestler alive. Further, he commented on Flair’s injury, where she tore up her ACL, MCL, and meniscus last year. Ric said even though it’s been quite unfortunate, this setback has allowed Charlotte to introspect and realize how big of an asset she actually is.
At last, The Space Mountain asserted that whenever the former women’s champion steps back into the squared circle, no matter if it’s on Raw or SmackDown, she’d have the highest-rated singles match in a long time, given that her opponent is equally adept. A recent report from PWInsider relayed that Charlotte Flair‘s on the cusp of coming back.
Will John Cena go for broke at WrestleMania next year?
As much as the fans would be taken aback by Ric Flair‘s aforementioned assessment of John Cena, it might end up being true. The entire world knows he’s about to return to WWE for a year-long farewell tour.
He might show up as soon as the Netflix premiere of Raw, slated for January 6. There’s an added emphasis on The Cenation Leader’s WrestleMania 41 plans knowing that it’d be his last.
Dave Meltzer reported that WWE had plans for the Peacemaker star to chase that record-breaking seventeenth title reign. That would have seen him compete for either of the world titles at The Show of Shows in Las Vegas.
However, the latest plans for the 47-year-old WWE icon aren’t too enthralling. He’s likely to take on Logan Paul, which the fans believe would be a complete waste of John’s last WrestleMania.
