- Rich Eisen suggests the Dallas Cowboys trade their 12th overall pick for Maxx Crosby to enhance their defense.
- Eisen believes that pairing Crosby with Quinnen Williams could make the Cowboys Super Bowl contenders.
- Dez Bryant supports the idea of Crosby joining the Cowboys, emphasizing its potential benefits for the team.
With the 2026 NFL Combine surprising league execs with their improved athleticism, the likes of Jerry Jones would be rubbing his hands in glee with the plethora of options he will have at his disposal.
After his flurry of trades last season, the Dallas Cowboys are armed with two first-round picks, one at No. 12 and another at No. 20. Most mock drafts have the franchise picking defensive prospects with those two picks.
While some suggest America’s team to cover for Trevon Diggs‘ departure by selecting Tennessee corner Jermod McCoy with their first pick, others, such as FOX Sports, want the team to wait and select Ohio State star pass rusher Sonny Styles, if available.
The media house is dubbing the latter as the second coming of Micah Parsons. However, it is a pipe dream, as Styles may not last that long. Instead, Rich Eisen has another proposal.
If they’re able to take the 12th overall pick, and instead of using it on a young defender, get Maxx Crosby for it… You go to work with Quinnen, Maxx Crosby, and Kenny Clark… You are not too far away, you’re just not.
Rich Eisen said on his namesake show
The longtime analyst added that once Jerry Jones trades the No. 12 overall pick for Maxx Crosby, he should draft another young pass rusher to play opposite him.

Combined with the hefty defensive line, Eisen believes the Cowboys have the recipe to make a run for the Super Bowl. It seems the ESPN analyst believes the franchise will be better off with an experienced and motivated Crosby than pinning their hopes on a young prospect.
Dez Bryant tries his best to lure Maxx Crosby to Cowboys
Rich Eisen’s analogy makes sense to a degree, as not only will the Dallas Cowboys have an experienced pass rusher at their disposal, but they will also have one of the hardest-working players in their facilities.

That would rub off on the rest of the players, which should help alleviate some of the concerns others have had about the Cowboys’ well-known lifestyle.
It seems Dez Bryant, someone with extensive knowledge of the franchise and its players, believes it is in the franchise’s best interest for Maxx Crosby to join them.
Maxx Crosby, it’s only right!

The former wide receiver tagged the Las Vegas Raiders star on the platform in his reply, as he felt it was only right that Crosby chose to agree to a trade to the Cowboys.

It seems Bryant and the folks of 103.5 The FAN are all getting excited by the rumors that Jerry Jones is in the conversations of trying to bring the 28-year-old to Dallas, Texas.
Dan Orlovsky believes Jerry Jones’ Cowboys could be Super Bowl contenders
While others debate on what the Dallas Cowboys need to do to improve their defense, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky believes that a few moves could elevate the team to the next level.
The NFC is wide open… If you are Dallas and Jerry Jones, and you have a championship-caliber offense. You’re not as bad as your defense was last year, you’re not that far away on defense. You get two or three impactful players… I think you’ve got a chance to contend right away.

Even though Stephen A. Smith, who has a history of poking fun at the Cowboys, did not agree with this analogy, Orlovsky stuck to his logic.

He believes that if Jerry Jones makes a couple of impactful players on defense, the team, along with its outstanding offense, can contend. Add the uncertainties among the other NFC regulars, and the former QB seems bullish about the Cowboys’ chances.
