WWE Speed is an exciting, fast-paced concept wrestling show that was recently introduced. The format consists of only three-minute matches and is uploaded exclusively to X every Wednesday. The superstars are competing in a bracket-style tournament to win the new WWE Speed Championship.

As the matches are recorded right after SmackDown ends, fans have gotten a preview of next week’s episode. Fans online uploaded pictures of Ricochet wearing the new Speed Championship belt. The Highlight of the Night emerged victorious after the grueling tournament and has been crowned the inaugural Speed Champion.

The 35-year-old had an impressive run throughout the tournament, beating the likes of Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh to reach the finals. The high flyer was set to face the winner of the match between Johnny Gargano and ‘Big’ Bronson Reed. Next week’s WWE Speed episode will feature this match, with the DIY member coming out on top.

This will set the stage for Ricochet vs. Johnny Gargano in the finals, which will be aired a week later. The former Intercontinental Champion is slated to win this match and be given his rightful prize. While the Speed Championship belt has not officially been unveiled yet, it will be done so on Wednesday after the official airing of the finals.

Ricochet to stick with Raw after winning WWE Speed Championship

The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown comprised the first part of the 2024 WWE Draft. The Dudley Boyz came out to announce the picks for the third round, with D-Von announcing the picks for the red brand. Raw had chosen Ricochet as their first pick in the round. The high flyer will continue his run on the red brand for the upcoming year.

The Highlight of the Night has been feuding with The Judgement Day for the past few weeks. It is assumed that he will continue this rivalry for the coming weeks, still remaining unbeaten against the faction. There is also a possibility of him defending the Speed Championship on TV.

It will also be interesting to see what the future holds for the former Intercontinental Champion. His last major program was with Logan Paul at SummerSlam 2023. He has since missed out on multiple PLEs over the past six months. The WWE Universe is hoping that his sticking to the Raw brand could mean great things for the 35-year-old.
