Ricochet left WWE after wrestling his heart out for six years, and rumors suggested that he was going to join rival company AEW. Well, the rumors were true, as he made his debut in the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In. Despite not winning the match, the charismatic highflyer delivered an excellent performance, as he always does. However, right after his debut, Ricochet has already begun making some rivals.
AEW shared a video clip on X where Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher challenged Ricochet to his first singles match at AEW Dynamite next week. The two superstars went back and forth until the young 25-year-old star crossed a line by calling him “Mr. Speed.” Frustrated by this, The One & Only replied that fans had seen his speed matches more than Fletcher’s and eventually accepted the challenge.
Ricochet made his debut by entering at number 12 in the Casino Gauntlet match, which guaranteed a title shot for the AEW World Championship. The entire Wembley Stadium was shocked when they learned that one of the greatest highflyers of the current generation had arrived in AEW, and he certainly didn’t disappoint. The 35-year-old wrestler began to amaze fans with his unbelievable moves.
Wait... why is being a CHAMPION a bad thing?? Plus, I hate to say it but more people watch those matches than one of yours. But don't worry, I'll change that for you.Ricochet on X
Ricochet’s last run in WWE saw him involved in a heated rivalry with Bron Breakker, who destroyed him in his final televised appearance. Previously, fellow AEW wrestler Will Ospreay had expressed dissatisfaction with Ricochet’s treatment in WWE multiple times in various interviews. Therefore, it will be intriguing to see whether the former Intercontinental Champion manages to accomplish more for the Jacksonville-based company.
Ricochet reacted to JBL making a surprise appearance at GCW
JBL is considered one of the greatest heel superstars in WWE history. Not only fans, but many other stars also see him as their idol, just like Ricochet does. Recently, the former WWE Champion made a shocking appearance on Night One of GCW Homecoming. As such, the 35-year-old couldn’t contain his emotions and shared his reaction on social media.
The Hall of Famer returned to support the current GCW World Heavyweight Champion, Mance Warner. He delivered two Clotheslines from Hell to Effy, who had come to prevent Warner from winning. Thanks to JBL, Warner retained his world title, which he won from Joey Janela back in June. The former Speed Champion took to X to marvel at how cool the legend looked.

It was a great experience for Ricochet to see one of the legends of the business throw hands once again. Interestingly, this wasn’t his first surprise appearance in a promotion outside of WWE. The Hall of Famer had previously appeared at the AAA TripleMania event as an ally of Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler.
