“You’re in the wrong business,” Real-life Bloodline member calls out Nia Jax over her sloppy chair shots looking like a ‘love-tap’ at Survivor Series
An Anoa'i family icon has advised Nia Jax to not hold anything back while performing inside the ring; no matter if there's a friend in there.

Since bumbling inside the WarGames match at Survivor Series, Nia Jax has been under fire. Not even the camera cuts could make up for her tardiness. Jax, who’s of Samoan lineage, has received a piece of mind from an Anoa’i family great, Rikishi. The WWE Hall of Famer discussed Jax’s flawed technique of putting the chair on someone’s back.
Speaking on the Off the Top podcast, the real-life Solofa Fatu Jr. gave a gentle reminder to Jax that she’s a Samoan, so she’s got to go hard in the ring. Rikishi dubbed Nia’s clumsy chair shots to Naomi almost as if she were giving some love tap. The 59-year-old retired wrestler didn’t neglect the fact that Nia was concerned about inadvertently injuring her opponents out of recklessness.
Fatu’s rooting for The Irresistible Force to silence her naysayers next time she’s holding a chair in her hand. Rikishi affirmed that she should swing it like Babe Ruth. The former Too Cool member elucidated that critics will double down on anyone who underperforms out there. It’s just the way it is.
The Samoan stalwart noted that if one can’t take a chair shot, then they’re in the wrong business. Fatu Jr. underscored the need to make these maneuvers look devastating without even leaving a lasting toll on the opponent’s body. It’s not just Jax who’s to blame for that chair shot sequence looking bad on TV.

If one looks closely when Nia’s about to swing it, Naomi, who had to bear its brunt, couldn’t turn her back to the women’s champion, leaving no real estate for Jax to work upon. Nia flustered and delivered a couple of glancing blows instead. That resulted in severe criticism of Jax, drawing comparisons to Hulk Hogan.
How has Nia Jax dealt with the trolls?
It seems like Nia Jax is well aware of her underwhelming outing at Survivor Series. Since then, she has been consistently called out on social media by some of the irate fans. What Jax has done to stand her ground is lean into the criticism.
Replying to a user on X, the 40-year-old boasted of evoking such emotions from the WWE Universe. Time will tell if the Sydney-born wrestler has actually been caught off guard by all the flak she’s engendered. She’s still the WWE Women’s Champion.
It’s more than likely that she’ll usher in the new year with gold around her waist. No one has been able to take the title off her. Some suspect that her cohort Tiffany Stratton will turn on her, leading to a successful Money in the Bank cash-in by The Buff Barbie.
