The WWE Universe has often clamored for more participation by the Anoa’i family in The Bloodline story. Although many current Samoan wrestlers in WWE have been an active part of the story, there has been a notable absence from the elders, who were often mentioned by Roman Reigns. With the faction undergoing new leadership, many wondered if this would be when Rikishi would return to WWE to join Solo Sikoa‘s Bloodline.

Speaking on the Rikishi Off The Top podcast, the Hall of Famer talked about his potential involvement in the Samoan faction. He claimed that several people asked him about his interest in joining the group and taking up the role of the Wiseman. The Bloodline has lacked a veteran mentoring figure since Paul Heyman was brutalized and kicked out of the group.

Rikishi thought that the idea made sense. After all, he was the father of not only Solo Sikoa but also The Usos. However, he thought that the scheduling would be a problem. Taking up the role would involve being on the road a lot of the time. That would be the only reason for him to not join the faction.

The 58-year-old prioritized giving time to himself. He also wanted to spend time visiting his kids, grandkids, and family, but constantly being on the road would prevent him from doing so. Although he had expressed interest in joining the faction in the past, he appears to have changed his mind upon further thought.

Will Solo Sikoa face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship at SummerSlam?

There has been severe tension between Cody Rhodes and the new Bloodline since they attacked him at Clash at the Castle. This led to the American Nightmare partnering up with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton for a 6-man tag team match at Money in the Bank. The final pit stop for SummerSlam ended in surprising fashion when the former NXT North American Champion pinned the WWE Undisputed Champion

This makes him only the fourth person to pin Cody Rhodes since his return to WWE in 2022. He joined the list of notable names such as Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Drew McIntyre. The creative team would be hesitant to give him such a big achievement if they did not have a significant follow-up in their minds.

This feud is potentially building up to Solo Sikoa vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship at SummerSlam. Moreover, this match could be a possible stepping stone to the return of Roman Reigns at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
