Riot Games announce first Official Valorant Tournament – First Strike

Since it’s release, Valorant has been one of the fastest growing eSports titles, attracting a lot of players worldwide.

To support the further growth of Valorant, Riot Games initially partnered with 20 well known organizers and launched the Ignition Series, which burst and became a massive hit.

Now Riot Games have announced the first Official Valorant Tournament, named ‘ First Strike ‘.

First Strike – by Riot Games

First Strike will be a global tournament, comprising of multiple regional finals taking place across Europe, CIS, North America, Asia, Brazil and the Middle East.

Each region will have a series of qualifiers, which finally lead to Top Eight First Strike finals.

All the professional teams as well as the talented amateur squads will have the chance to participate and qualify for the finals.

The winner will have the right to proudly call themselves the first official regional VALORANT champions.

Apart from that, the winner will also have a chance to gain global recognition as many more Valorant tournaments are to come in the near future.

During the past six months, countless VALORANT tournaments have taken place across the globe, awarding more than $1 million in prizes to teams and players, but this is the first Official Tournament announced by Riot Games.
