MS Dhoni is a legendary figure in world cricket. He is definitely the greatest ever wicket-keeper batter from India and one of the best in the world. Rishabh Pant is one of the young India players who share a good bond with Dhoni. Their relationship is always seen to flourish when they spend time with each other publicly or go to any social event together.

In a latest interview, Pant said he always looks for advice from the former Indian captain and loves to spend time with him and ask him about different things to get the best advice. In reply, the former CSK captain does give him all the suggestions but asks him to follow his instinct only.

Pant also said that whenever he finds himself in trouble or any issues, he can go to Dhoni for help. The Ranchi-born provides him with the support and the answers to bail him out of trouble. The DC captain then heaped praise on Dhoni for revolutionizing wicket-keeping with his unorthodox technique. Pant always wants to follow him and learn new things from him.

Not just on the field, but off the field as well, MS Dhoni is always there to support and guide me. He’s my go-to person whenever I’m unsure, and he encourages me to develop my own thought process.

Meanwhile, Dhoni left the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings and handed it over to Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of the start of IPL 2024. It is still not sure whether Dhoni will play in IPL 2025.

Rishabh Pant made his comeback in IPL 2024

Pant suffered a horrific car accident in December 2022 and had to remain out of cricket for one and a half year with the injuries that he sustained. He did not play in IPL 2023, but made his comeback the next season, displaying glimpses of his old self but could not do it consistently after coming from a lengthy break.

Meanwhile, he was picked up in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad and made to bat at number 3 with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma opening the innings. Pant did contribute with some cameos, but it was not upto the mark. However, his team did manage to win the T20 World Cup 2024.
