Bruno Fernandes is key for Manchester United’s attack to flourish against Leeds

16 years have passes since Leeds were relegated along with Wolves and Leicester in the 2003/04 season. One of Manchester United’s fiercest rivals along with Liverpool and Manchester City, Leeds United finally get back to facing the Red Devils. Marcelo Bielsa, mastermind behind Leeds promotion to the Premier League, now face Manchester United after a long time.

Who can outscore each other more?

Leeds United and Manchester United both boast of a strong attack and have scored a lot of goals for it. Leeds gave Liverpool a scare on the opening day of the Premier League when they went toe to toe with the champions. Liverpool eventually won the match 4-3 but it was evident that Leeds were not a team to be taken for granted. Patrick Bamford leads the scoring chart for Leeds with 9 goals and is primed to get more.

Manchester United have varying fortunes throughout the season and sit at 7th place in the table having played a game less than Manchester City. Manchester United have not had the best form at home and have lost three times in 6 games. However their away form has been really good as evidenced by their comeback wins against Southampton and West Ham. It will be quite interesting to see how Leeds United take advantage over Manchester United to get a win.
