Riyan Parag’s incredible form in the 2024 IPL continues as the 22-year-old smacked his third fifty of the season against Gujarat Titans, taking 34 balls to reach the milestone. He ended his innings with 74 runs, with a strike rate of 158.33.
Coming in to bat when the team lost both openers in the powerplay, Riyan Parag did not have great start. He almost lost his wicket on his 2nd delivery after Rashid Khan produced a nick, but Matthew Wade dropped him. By the end of the 9th over, he had hit only 9 runs in 12 deliveries, with no boundaries.

In the 10th over Parag started showing some aggression, hitting Noor Ahmed for a six over deep mid wicket. From 9 off 12, he scored the next 41 runs in 22 balls, smacking four maximums and two boundaries. He brought up his fifty by hitting Mohit Sharma for a six.
Parag kept attacking, while also building a brilliant partnership with captain Sanju Samson worth 130 runs. Parag’s incredible innings finally came to an end in the 19th over, two balls after he hit Sharma for a six. He tried to smack the pacer down the ground but an excellent fielding effort by Vijay Shankar put an end to his rampage. In the 48 balls Parag played, he hit five sixes and three boundaries.
Fans praise Riyan Parag after incredible fifty
Before the start of the 2024 IPL, Riyan Parag was one of the most trolled players in the IPL, often mocked for his confidence while not performing. This season has seen a change in his public image, as fans finally realize how good the Assamese batter is.
