Road Safety World Series is back; India to play Bangladesh on March 5th
Road Safety World Series
The Road Safety World Series is back finally. After being disrupted by the pandemic last year, the legends of the game will be back in action next month. The tournament will begin on the 5th of March. The 2020 edition unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic but now, the 2021 edition is set to go on as per schedule.
The series will be hosted in Raipur. The World Series is an initiative by the Road Safety Cell of Maharashtra. It is organized in association with Professional Management Group (PMG) spearheaded by Sunil Gavaskar, the Commissioner of the Series. Sachin Tendulkar is the brand ambassador of the initiative.
The first edition of the series was called off after four games last year due to the pandemic. The organizers on Tuesday announced that all the remaining matches will be played. It will be hosted at the newly-built Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
The series is set to see stars like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara, Bret Lee, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Muttiah Muralitharan and many more.
