“There’s no way!” Rob Gronkowski explains why Bill Belichick will ‘never’ take the Jets’ head coaching job after they fired Robert Saleh
Rob Gronkowski, a former player under Bill Belichick, said the coach’s history with the Jets will keep him from joining the New York franchise.

Rob Gronkowski doesn’t believe Bill Belichick is interested in taking the New York Jets coaching gig. The former NFL tight end highlighted Belichick’s history with the Jets as a primary reason for being skeptical about the latest rumors.
During the most recent episode of Up & Adams, host Kay Adams asked Gronkowski if Belichick’s two-decade tenure as New England Patriots coach would influence his decision-making when considering the Jets job. Gronkowski didn’t deny it. He sounded adamant that this might become an issue.
Besides the long-standing rivalry between Belichick and the Jets, let’s not forget this isn’t the first time the veteran head coach has been linked with Gang Green. From 1997-2000, Belichick was the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator under Bill Parcells at the Jets.
Ok but seriously, is there REALLY no chance Bill Belichick could end up as HC of the #Jets?!

The Jets appointed him as Parcells stepped down. However, after just one day in charge of the office, Belichick left to join the Patriots and won six Super Bowls.
The Jets remain in the hunt for a new head coach after they fired Robert Saleh earlier this week. On Tuesday, the Jets front office announced defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will act as the interim coach until they find a replacement. Todd Downing will take over the playcalling.

Bill Belichick is puzzled by Jets firing Robert Saleh
The Jets are in a precarious position with all the hype that surrounded the team going down the drain after losing back-to-back games. They currently sit with 2-3 after five games but still have a chance to displace the Buffalo Bills from the top spot in the division by beating them on Monday night football.
Belichick shared his thoughts during the recent episode of ‘Coach with Belichick’ about the Jets firing Saleh.
Many pointed their fingers at veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers for his role in the firing.
Rodgers, on the other hand, claimed that he had no clue until the news reached his ears from a third party. Regardless, the 40-year-old now has Ulbrich as his coach, and they must get off to a good start to save their season.
