Rob Parker bizarrely wants Andy Reid to step down as Chiefs’ head coach after humiliating Super Bowl loss
Rob Parker argued in a recent segment of FOX Radio show that the Chiefs have been on the decline despite winning a Super Bowl in 2023 and the humiliating loss in Super Bowl LIX is proof Andy Reid should retire.

Whether the Kansas City Chiefs win or lose, one question has popped up every time in the last few seasons—Will Andy Reid retire from football? FOX Sports Radio host Rob Parker believes Reid must consider retiring after the Chiefs’ disappointing loss in Super Bowl LIX.
A victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, whom the Chiefs defeated two seasons ago to kick off their football dominance, would have been enough to secure a first-ever three-peat in the NFL.
After the shocker performance, Parker surmised that Reid’s failure to adapt to the game and make changes cost the Chiefs the game.
Where were the adjustments? Where was the game plan? I’m not a football coach. Guys who were football coaches and players questioned the game plan—no running game to start at all. And then you get behind, and then you gotta pass.
Rob Parker said on Wednesday
Reid’s team ended up losing 40-22 as the offensive line crumbled under the Eagles’ constant blitz, forcing six sacks, eight QB hits, two interceptions, and one pick-six. Parker believes this is proof enough for Reid to retire and step away from football for good.
Andy Reid should step down as head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. And you’re going to be like, ‘They just went to the Super Bowl three times…’ This is not a one-game reaction because they lost in the Super Bowl, and they got boat-raced—it was 40-6.

The veteran analyst pointed to Reid’s time back in Philadelphia as head coach. Parker accused the 66-year-old of sticking to a similar style of pass-heavy play that drove him out of the Eagles.
They got tired of that in Philadelphia.
Rob Parker added.
Will Andy Reid retire in 2025?
Parker may want Reid to retire from football, but the decision rests on Reid and the Chiefs brass. The top honcho, CEO, and owner Clark Hunt was asked about Reid’s retirement, and he completely brushed the talks aside.
I know for a fact he’s going to be back next year… Andy loves what he’s doing, and he’s going to do it for a long time. I was always surprised when I heard those rumors because I know how much fun Andy’s having.
Clark Hunt told The Sun.

When reporters asked Reid about his retirement, the 3x Super Bowl winner spoke about a quote that his parents used to mention.
‘You’ll know when it’s time.’ That’s what they would tell me when I was young. I was an inquisitive kid, and so that’s the way I look [at it]. Somewhere you’re going to know when it’s time. Today’s not the day.
Andy Reid said a day after the Super Bowl loss.

Reid is among the best coaches in the history of football. He has won a total of 273 games since becoming a coach. In Philadelphia, he won 130 games (.583), and with the Chiefs, he has won 143 games so far.
