The late Robert Kardashian was a prominent attorney but to date, his name has become synonymous with O.J. Simpson. The two were close friends and after the late Bills running back was charged with murdering his ex-wife and Ron Goldman, he sought refuge in Robert Kardashian’s Los Angeles home.
This gave them a chance to work together and Robert Kardashian was a good friend to O.J. Simpson as he supported him throughout the trial. Now, the Los Angeles home where the two planned out their legal strategy has a new owner as per TMZ.
The six-bedroom and 9-bathroom estate in Encino has been sold at a price of $5.1 million. The residence is located behind a gated driveway and is perched atop a hill. The property was previously owned by comedian Russell Peters who purchased it for $5.6 million in 2017. The estate is not the same structure that once housed Robert Kardashian and O.J. Simpson.
In 2019, it was reconstructed, and the new structure welcomes visitors with an entryway featuring a glass wall and a double staircase. The property has a family room, a dining room, a massive 84-bottle wine rack, and a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen. Surprisingly, Peters sold the property at a $500,000 loss.
He had hoped to secure a return of $400,000 on this investment. The property was listed in 2017 for a little under $6 million. The history behind the house is a major selling point but unfortunately, since the structure is new and has little similarity with the original, it loses a bit of the appeal.
O.J. Simpson and Robert Kardashian determined their legal strategy for the trial and likely discussed the roster of their iconic ‘Dream Team’ here. The super team of attorneys featured the likes of Johnnie Cochran, Robert Shapiro, Alan Dershowitz, and Robert Kardashian.
O.J. Simpson’s infamous Bronco chase took place while he was staying at Rob Kardashian’s residence
In the run-up to the trial, Simpson was instructed to surrender himself to the police. However, he failed to do so and when he was about to be arrested, Simpson embarked on a 60-mile journey in his white Bronco along with Al ‘A.C.’ Cowlings. Ultimately, the journey across Southern California ended in Simpson’s Brentwood estate and the Bronco has since been immortalized at the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Tennessee.

Robert Kardashian is known to have been a close advisor to Simpson throughout his legal debacle. The father of the now-famous Kardashian sisters was an established criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles at the time. He passed away at the age of 59 in 2003 due to esophageal cancer.
Simpson was able to get past the allegations levelled against him. Although, he was convicted in the civil trial and required to pay $33.5 million in damages. Simpson passed away last year and despite his attempts to move on from the accusations, it always continued to shadow him until his final days.
