FC Barcelona under Hansi Flick is truly a side to be reckoned with. The Blaugrana picked up their 8th win of the season in style as they made easy work of Deportivo Alaves on enemy turf. The club have veteran striker Robert Lewandowski to thank for the result as the Polish marksman bagged a first-half hat-trick to put the game well out of reach for the hosts.
With 10 goals and 2 assists in 9 La Liga games, the 36-year-old leads the list for most goals scored in the Spanish top flight. Additionally, Lewandowski has as many non-penalty goals as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo and Federico Valverde combined. Several fans backed the striker to go on and win the golden boot in a season where Madrid brought Mbappe to the club.
With 12 goals in all competitions, it is safe to say that Lewandowski is the ‘best’ striker in all of Europe. His numbers this season are even better than that of Manchester City man Erling Haaland (11 goals).
The win helped Barcelona to extend their lead to three points at the top. With 24 points from 9 games, Barcelona are giving Madrid a run for their money.

After a marvelous run of games for Barcelona, Lamine Yamal finally had a ‘bad’ game for the club. The 17-year-old failed to register a goal or assist as the club won 3-0 on the evening. Fans noticed that the youngster was visibly distressed and disappointed on the bench as he was substituted for Ansu Fati in the 67th minute.
A fan stated that Yamal tried to ‘show off’ and Flick taking him off sends a clear message to the rest of the squad. As for Robert Lewandowski, Flick was more than happy to shower praise on the former Bayern Munich striker.

Despite winning Player of the Month for September, the fact that the youngster felt disappointed for a performance instilled confidence among fans. Despite a lack of goal involvements, Yamal did have a few noticeable dribbles and key passes throughout the game. The player had fans on their feet as he dropped two defenders near the touchline as he went on a heroic dribble.
