WATCH- Roger Federer tests his racket skills
When Roger Federer takes the court this week, he will have ended a 405-day long break from the sport – his longest and most painful one by far.
The 39-year-old is seeded second at Doha, and will face Dan Evans in the second round of the 2021 Qatar Open. Perhaps in his mind Roger Federer knows that most of his records will be broken soon, given how Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are showing no signs of slowing down.
But that won’t be on the Swiss’ mind. He will want to enjoy his game and an Olympic gold will be on his sights.
All eyes around the world will be on Doha’s center court this week. The clouds of grief and uncertainty have finally gone away, for both Roger Federer and his fans.
Roger Federer challenges fans to dribble the ball against the wall
In a video shared by ATP Tour recently on twitter, Roger Federer was seen engaged in a fun dribbling contest. The Swiss hit the ball consecutively on the wall and urged the fans to send their videos of the same too.
‘Still got it, @rogerfederer‘, the caption said alongwith a video of Federer.
Roger Federer will hit the court tomorrow after a long wait to reach the QF at the Qatar Open 2021.
