During an interview with Onet Sport, the Pole weighed the disparity in pay that will exist in the compensations for Swiatek and Roger. He suggested that the former won’t be paid as much as the latter due to their difference in brand value.

Fibak said, “If someone offered Swiatek a contract, we should not expect that she would be paid a million dollars. Federer may get that amount, but he’s the only one. The rest will get very reasonable sums.”

According to her compatriot, Swiatek will get a fair compensation. However, she won’t reach closer to the wealth that Serena Williams or Maria Sharapova have amassed through this contract.

He continued, “Of course, considering the Polish realities and recently Iga as well, it will be unimaginable money. But these will not be contracts that will bring her closer to the financial shelf of Osaka, Sharapova or Williams.”

Moreover, Fibak gave an insight on the strategy that Rolex adopts when making deals with well-known people.

“Rolex is a great example, a luxury company works differently.I know former and current Rolex owners. They believe that it is the star who benefits more from this collaboration. Therefore, Rolex usually does not offer high salaries. Only outstanding operas – Placido Domingo, tennis – Roger Federer or golf – Tiger Woods can count on high contracts,” he concluded.
