Eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer has returned to SW19 and was in attendance to watch Andy Murray on his Wimbledon farewell. The Scottish legend was in action with Jamie Murray in Men’s Doubles against John Peers and Rinky Hijikata, but ultimately lost 7-6 (6), 6-4.
Federer was pictured moving towards the seats before meeting former World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki as she prepared for her singles match against Leylah Fernandez. The Swiss Maestro’s presence only added to the buzz on Center Court.

Federer has been a regular visitor at Wimbledon since his last official match at the All-England club in 2021. In 2022, he was present in a ceremony celebrating 100 years of Wimbledon center court, but he wasn’t retired yet.
In 2023, he paid a visit to the All-England club for the first time as a retired tennis player. He was greeted with huge cheers in the Royal Box when he watched Murray beat Ryan Peniston.

Roger Federer has wished the best for his three great rivals, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray, for the remainder of their careers. The Swiss Maestro retired in 2022 at the Laver Cup. During his farewell, he was emotional, sitting next to his long-time rival Nadal, with Murray and Djokovic also present.
Hopefully, Novak can go and crush every record, Murray can play as long as his hip allows and he still has the hunger, and Rafa knew that he was in a tough spot as well. He hopes he can win as much as possible.Roger Federer said in Trevor Noah’s ‘ What Now?’ podcast
When Federer retired, Djokovic and Nadal had already surpassed him in Grand Slam titles. The Belgrade native now has 24 Grand Slams, tying with Margaret Court. He has also been dominant at Wimbledon, winning seven titles there. Last year, Djokovic’s 10-year unbeaten streak at Centre Court ended in a final against Carlos Alcaraz.
Djokovic is back at Wimbledon this year, aiming to win another title. He recently returned to Centre Court after knee surgery, winning against Vit Kopriva and Jacob Fearnley. If the Serbian wins Wimbledon again, he will tie Federer’s record of eight titles at the tournament.
The Swiss Maestro is supportive of Djokovic potentially breaking his record. On Trevor Noah’s ‘What Now?’ podcast, the 20-time Grand Slam champion reflected on his career and his rivalries with Nadal, Murray, and Djokovic.
