Roger Federer

Roger Federer is one of the most loved tennis players on the circuit. The Swiss maestro has a massive fan base that only a few sportsman can boast about. Federer made his competitive return to tennis last week in Doha after being on the sidelines for almost over 13 months.

Roger Federer underwent two knee surgeries and decided to cut short his 2020 season with an eye on this year. At the Qatar Open last week, Federer went out in the quarterfinals after losing to Nikoloz Basilashvili in three sets.

To enlighten the mood of Federer fans, an old video of a reporter asking a question to the Swiss maestro has emerged. The video ended in an awkward fashion as the question was not correct. Roger Federer and the reporter burst into laughter, as the interview turned into a hilarious one.

Reporter asks a wrong question, Federer bursts into laughter

The interview is about 14 years old, just after Roger Federer’s 25th birthday. The Swiss was playing a tournament and was asked if he enjoyed his day off and whether he celebrated his birthday which fell on the rest day. However, Roger Federer seemed baffled at that question, as he stated that he did not have an off day.

Federer reminded the reporter that his day off was two days ago and they both burst into laugher. “I did not have a day off, it was two days ago,” said Roger Federer while laughing. “I have been playing everyday,” added Federer.

There have been several questions asked as to when Federer will return back on tour. He withdrew his name from the Dubai Open entry list and also from the Miami Masters. It is speculated that the Swiss will return to action on clay courts in Mid April at the Monte Carlo Masters.
