They do play tennis, and we ski, and we’re all learning to golf. We recently tried scuba diving. But the girls were never passionate about tennis, and I was relieved about it. The boys love their soccer. Leo is starting to show interest in getting serious about tennis. Lenny is much more creative, he’s very into drawing, reading.Roger Federe revealed in a recent interview with People.
The 43-year-old then said that while he pushes no one towards tennis, he will have no hesitation in donning the coach’s hat if any of them requires assistance.
I’ll jump on the court with them whenever they want.Roger Federer said.
Roger Federer happy about getting time to spend with kids
Having competed relentlessly for two decades, Roger Federer missed out on quality family time. However, now, that he is retired, the Swiss tennis maestro is delighted about getting time to spend with his kids. Federer talked about this change and how it has affected him.
The 43-year-old says that now he gets to wake up with his kids and drop them off at their schools. Federer then talked about the time he gets to spend with the kids when they are playing or doing homework. He calls it vital as he gets a chance to guide them about things.
I used to have to sleep in the mornings because of late matches. It’s completely different now. I get to wake up when the kids do and help get them ready. Then I get to connect with the kids again over their sports and homework. It’s a very vital time for me to be around them, to help them and guide them and obviously let them fly on their own as well.Roger Federer said.
Notably, Federer has been enjoying his post-retirement life with his family and engaging in different business commitments. Currently, the Swiss maestro is busy promoting his documentary, Federer: Twelve Final Days which shows behind the scenes of his last two weeks on tour.
