Roger Federer continues to impress the world with his latest ventures. Earlier, the Swiss pro used to entertain the world with his tennis, but since retirement, he has still done wonders to remain in the headlines of the tennis world. 

Now, the 20-time Singles Grand Slam champion is set to release his brand new documentary “Federer: Twelve Final Days” on Amazon Prime. As the title suggests, the documentary chronicles the final days of Federer’s professional career. After dominating the sport for nearly two decades, he was set to retire, and the film crew had shot the whole journey leading up to the iconic Laver Cup in 2022.

It is set to release on the 20th of June and Federer revealed in an interview that he was very pleased with the documentary, which was more than just a mere film for him. He revealed that he and his wife had cried several times while watching the film, which also gave him a perfect sense of closure to his career.

It was an emotional moment for the Swiss, who decided to end his career in a team match and not in an individual one. Another one of Federer’s right decisions was he got his rivals also involved in his retirement because of the team event.

Behind the player’s success is usually their family. The same stands for Roger Federer, who particularly thanked his wife Mirka Federer for supporting him throughout his career. In a recent interview, the Swiss revealed the positive impact his wife had on his career.

His wife, also a former tennis player, understood the time her husband went through and was perfectly present in the situation. They met when Federer had not won a title yet and together went on to win 20 singles Grand Slam titles. 

She has helped me a lot during difficult times and she has played a very important role in keeping me motivated. She also taught me what discipline is, because she is incredibly disciplined.
